#12: pat's counted cross stitch

pat caldwell made this - look, amost twenty years ago. i love it because the little house looks so christmasy and the smoke coming from the chimneys makes things look so cozy. inside the pocket is the original green tissue that she wrapped it in. i just can't believe someone would put this kind of effort into something that's only displayed a few weeks a year. but pat did - so i've hung it up year after year. this christmas with pat now gone, the ornament takes on a more special significance. i miss pat a lot. i may leave this ornament out beyond christmas this year.
