this is one of the most recent additions to the collection. it was made by a six year old student, maybe ten or eleven years ago. it's a walnut dredged in glitter - period. very simple. over the years some of the glitter has come off but i still hang it, always in a prominent place in the front of the tree. there it serves as a reminder that the most beautiful things in life are often surprisingly simple - family, nature, quiet moments, service to man. it also reminds me of the power of giving - i bet when that student dipped this first in glue, then in glitter, he had no idea the significance it would come to hold.
