another handmade relic from years past, this one made by daddy's paternal grandmother, ann. the base of the snowman - styrofoam, no doubt. the bling - a million sequins, fastened at their centers with straight pins. i envision great grammy sitting at her kitchen table, cranking these beauties out as she drank coffee and watched her birds at the feeders. in its heyday, i'm sure it was prized for its glitter, sparkle and degree of craftmanship. now it's prized for its link to the past. and speaking of links, please note the beautifully sequined ball in the upper right hand corner, crafted from the same generation and, yes, from the same ancient hands.

The snowman is one of my favorites! I'm glad you chose it because I thought Grammie made it and I was wrong!
